EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
This one-week program is designed to give undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to explore and investigate the United Kingdom’s educational system, history, politics, and culture. Students will work with secondary school faculty and students. They will interact with education faculty and students in the Institute of Education at the University College London.

OBJECTIVES
Expand students’ knowledge related to the UK’s educational system as well as its culture, geography, politics, and economy.
Provide opportunities to foster sensitivity, appreciation, and understanding of diversity.
Enhance understanding of educational polices and practices.
Meet with secondary and university students to learn about their goals, needs, and issues.
Compare UK and US pedagogical techniques.
Explore the American roots of British Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Examine oral history with a topical emphasis on grassroots movement for social change.
