What is Included: LANGUAGE COURSE
A 4 week, 6 credits, Spanish Intensive Language
& Culture Courses with SAMPERE. Teachers use
different teaching methods, like listening, reading,
activities and really important a good mix of Grammar
and communication. Learning and fun at the same time.
ACCOMMODATION - HOME STAY
Staying with a host family is a great way to immerse
yourself into the culture of Ecuador. You will learn
traditional customs and the family way of life. This
option is particularly excellent for practicing your
Spanish and improving faster.
EXCURSIONS & ACTIVITIES
This program includes a dynamic, interesting and fun
leisure program to complement the process of learning
the Spanish language. Daily student activities are
included (cooking, dancing, music, lectures on Ecuadorian
culture and history, movies...). Excursions to National Park "El Cajas" and Ingapirca (Inca Ruins) are also included.
Estimated Costs: $500 non-refundable deposit must be submitted no
later than February 1st (students must give a copy of the deposit slip to the program director.)

Program Description

A 4 WEEK, 6 CREDITS, SPANISH INTENSIVE LANGUAGE & CULTURE COURSES
This program is offered by the Department of Modern
Languages, Literatures & Cultures in conjunction with Sampere. Students will enhance their Spanish language
skills through a combination of tailored and intensive
language & culture courses. Students will experience the
Ecuadorian lifestyle while alternating excursions, courses
and time spent with their host family.
PREREQUISITES
A grade of C or better in the last Spanish course
completed: if grade in this course is below a C, the
student may not re-take the course to qualify.
Completion of a Spanish Course either in Fall or Spring in
the current academic year.
GPA of at least 2.0
Interview with the program director and regular
attendance at meetings.
