Helmut-Schmidt University of the Armed Forces in Hamburg, Germany partners with The Citadel to allow students to experience a semester of education at an international military academy. Each year The Citadel welcomes German students to our campus as our students participate in a study abroad program at their university overseas.

• To participate in this Exchange Program students must be nominated by the Department of Modern Languages based on their ability to speak the German language.

• Helmut-Schmidt is on a trimester system so students will have to get course approvals based on the number of terms they will be enrolled at Helmut-Schmidt. cadets can receive 12-15 hours for attending two trimesters in the spring or the summer intensive + fall trimester.
