Program Description

Course Description:

The KMA BO helps you develop the academic and life skills to become a successful leader in a multicultural and multilingual environment. You will develop your academic and practical skills (reading, listening, note taking, time management, legal boundaries, in addition to others. You will also learn about core values and ethics and how these relate to leadership. In addition, you will discuss topics such as leadership and followership, expand your boundaries managing stress, and other topics.

The course will be around 200 hours.

Course Outcomes

You will learn to:

- Support others with the correct coping mechanisms
- Recognize stress in others
- Recognize and prevent self-erosion
- Recognize and adapt to physical limitations of others.
- In a group context, train psychometric and ground motoric skills and sustain those.
- Knowledge of what a healthy lifestyle is and use that knowledge to assist others.
- Sustain physical fitness and be able to successfully complete a PT test.
- Retain basic military skills and apply those.
- Knowledge of legal boundaries in a military environment
- Knowledge of and application of humanitarian war regulations
- Proper usage of rules of engagement
- Media awareness and skills in dealing with the press.
- Apply the principles of LEAN and Change management.
- Use behavior to assess a co-worker.
- Observe group processes and implement the proper techniques to adjust these where needed.
- Inspire self-development of subordinates
- Work with and lead subordinates and coworkers, implementing diversity, inclusivity, skills and mindset, leading to a qualitative and quantitative outstanding result.
- Assess the capacity of the armed forces in a multinational, diverse, environment.
- Learn about the latest developments in the operational environment.
- Learn how to provide and receive feedback.
- Learn how to operate in a multilingual environment, where English is not the first language.
