Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will improve their Spanish oral and written skills; they will learn also the pragmatics of the language, that is, cultural aspects like politeness, social distance, indirect speech, etc. They will learn how to deal with real situations (supermarket, cafeteria, cinema, etc) since they will be immersed directly with the language during four weeks. This experience will help them to become independent learners and expand their world views. It will also help them to bring more awareness about their own culture and bring connections with the Spanish one.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Students will spend 4 weeks in Spain studying at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. They will take classes in the morning and in the afternoon they will have free time to engage themselves in other extra-curricular activities, or meet other students. The students will have the chance to live with families or in a residence in the Universidad de Santiago. They will have access to the university facilities (gym, pool, tennis courts, etc). The program includes also some excursions so the students will have the chance to explore new cities and cultural places to better understand the history and culture of Spain.
